Discontent is a game mechanic in Frostpunk that must be monitored as the game will be lost if Discontent falls too low and remains at that level for too long. Discontent reflects the opinions of the residents on living conditions within the city. Discontent is affected by Laws, Buildings and building abilities. As a rule of thumb residents will be much more contented if they are entertained, fed decent food and expected to work reasonable hours.
