New London acts as a Settlement in the On The Edge Scenario. New London is the player's home city and controls some of Outpost 11's actions.

Favours[ | ]

New London has an expanded set of Favours that can pass several laws.

When Favour is Average, you can request the following:

  • 100 Coal
  • 50 Wood

Additionally, you can make some requests based on situational aspects:

  • We need to tend to the gravely ill (if there are gravely ill)
  • We need to address growing discontent (if discontent is high)
  • We need to dispose of the dead bodies (if there are dead bodies)

When Favour is High, you can request the following:

  • 20 Food (Exhausts Favour)
  • More Workers (Exhausts Favour)
  • 100 Coal
  • 50 Wood

Some of these options pass edicts, which are expanded upon below.

Edicts[ | ]

While you are still under New London's control, you cannot sign your own laws. They are signed by edict through various triggers, but most often when you request something from New London.

Emergency Shift edict[ | ]

To ensure the survival of the colony and boost key resources delivery rate from Outpost 11, the government of New London issues an act on the emergency shifts. From this day on, work shifts can be increased up to 24 hours.

Shortly after making contact with New London, you'll receive this edict, which passes Emergency Shift (Law).

Extended Shift edict[ | ]

To ensure the survival of the colony and raise the resources delivery rate from Outpost 11, the government of New London issues an act on the extended shifts. From this day on, work shifts

can be increased up to 14 hours.

If you delay in sending shipments to New London, this edict will occur, which passes Extended Shift (Law).

Fighting Arena edict[ | ]

To free the administration from arbitrating disagreements and raise the recovery rate of Steam Cores, from now on all disputes will be resolved during fist fighting events organised on evenings in a designated Fighting Arena.

If you have high discontent, you can ask a Favour to lower it. New London has a 50% chance to pass this edict (the other edict being Public House), which will pass Fighting Arena (Law).

Food economy edict[ | ]

To ensure the survival of the colony and to mitigate the temporary food shortage, the government of New London issues an act regulating the use of Raw Food. From this day on, sawdust can be added to meals in the Cookhouse.

If you request Raw Food multiple times, New London will pass this edict. It has a 50% chance to pass Food Additives (Law) and a 50% chance to pass Soup (Law).

Healthcare Improvement edict[ | ]

To ensure the survival of the colony and to avoid congestion in health facilities during frost spells, the government of New London issues an act on the necessary improvement of healthcare. From this day on, all terminally ill will undergo radical treatment.

If you have Gravely Ill, you can ask a Favour to help. New London will pass Radical Treatment (Law).

Public House edict[ | ]

To promote more constructive use of leisure time and raise long-term happiness of our people, the development of a special entertainment programme was started by our top scientists. Meanwhile, a Public House will be opened as a temporary measure.

If you have high discontent, you can ask a Favour to lower it. New London has a 50% chance to pass this edict (the other edict being Fighting Arenas), which will pass Public House (Law).

Respecting the Dead edict[ | ]

To honour the fallen brothers and sisters of the Outpost 11, and to avoid the outbreaks of diseases, the government of New London issues an act regulating the handling of human remains. From this day on, all dead bodies should be buried at a Cemetery which will established for this purpose.

If you have dead bodies, you can ask a Favour to help with them. New London has a 50% chance to pass Cemetery (Law).

Funeral Economy edict[ | ]

To avoid unnecessary spending of resources, the government of New London issues an act on handling human remains. All funerals are hereby postponed until a later date. Meanwhile, all dead bodies should be preserved in the snow pits.

If you have dead bodies, you can ask a Favour to help with them. New London has a 50% chance to pass Corpse Disposal (Law).
