  • this will provide a permanent hope bonus

The following events are associated with this law. Note that while they all have the same series name, "Man assaulted," "Informant beaten," and "Suspect detained" do not seem to trigger with the regular series and can trigger at random throughout the remainder of your play through.

This event will trigger somewhat regularly after the law is passed.

Sir, a man was assaulted by his neighbour, who accused him of informing on her. He hasn't signed the Pledge of Loyalty yet. We've detained the assailant.

You'll have two options:

  • Imprison her
  • Let her go, the prison is full: This option is only available when your prisons are full.

This event will trigger somewhat regularly after the law is passed.

Sir, one of our informants was attacked while returning home from the Cookhouse. The culprits remain at large. The informant was unable to identify them in the dark.

You'll have one option:

  • I see

Suspect detained[]

This event will trigger somewhat regularly after the law is passed.

Captain, acting on a tip-off from one of our informers, our guards have detained a man suspected of disloyalty.

You'll have two options:

  • Imprison him
  • Let him go, the prison is full: This option is only available when your prisons are full.

Woman assaulted[]

Sir, a woman was assaulted by her neighbour, who accused her of informing on him. She hasn't signed the Pledge of Loyalty yet. We've detained the assailant.

You have the following options:

  • Let him go, the prison is full: Discontent will rise slightly
  • Imprison him: Requires a Prison

Notes[]

  • With Pledge of Loyalty signed, hope will gradually rise to a threshold over time whenever it drops below that threshold. This effectively provides infinite hope.
