Steam Steelworks is one of the Technologies in Frostpunk.

Steam Steelworks is a tier 2 technology located on the far right beneath the Steelworks technology under the Resources tab of the Technology Tree. It allows already existing Steelworks buildings to be upgraded at the cost of 25 wood to build the initial Steelworks in addition to 40 wood and 15 steel for the upgrade. Currently, this is only an upgrade technology and must be placed atop an already existing Steelworks building.
Technology Description: Uses steam power to extract iron ore from deep deposits and process it quicker, delivering up to 80 steel per standard workday. Costs 40 wood and 15 steel to construct.
