Frostpunk Wiki is a community project run entirely by volunteers to provide information for the game. We are looking for users to help edit the wiki and help to keep it up-to-date. You don't need to be an admin or have any special permissions there's no need to wait. Jump right in and start editing. The wiki maintenance category may be a great place to start, or you can start small by fixing spelling, grammar, and other errors you come across.

Street

Streets allows to you to contact, power and heat Buildings in Frostpunk. They cost wood to build

Description[ | ]

Underneath wooden walk boards of the Street hold a series of steam pipes and electrical cables, which provide Heat and Power to any Buildings that are further away from the Generator. Even if the building is adjacent to the Generator, the building is not considered connected unless there is at least a piece of road adjacent to the building

People walk faster on street; 8m/h on streets, 6m/h on barren ground, 4m/h in deep snow. Due to the Heat generated by the steam pipes and electrical cables, Streets are completely snow and ice free.

Some buildings like Steam Hubs, Shrines, or Agitators can be built on Streets, providing Heat and warmth nearby buildings, a place where passers-by can pray or ear-blasting Propaganda to nearby buildings and the masses.

Street building cost are rounded up, hence, when you are building the circular path, you may be able to stretch your mileage a little with the same cost.

You can delete some streets initially, to optimise layout and to borrow wood. The circular road around the generator may be deleted
